The GSIA program has been fundamental in equipping me with essential analytical and critical-thinking tools to understand and dissect global political dynamics and assess the real implications of political actions and statements. Being part of a community that examines how international relations “shape” national sovereignty and development and domestic policy decisions, has truly broadened my perspective beyond that of a national level. The program has TRULY ignited my passion for international affairs and diplomacy.

Ming Chuan University was a blessing for me coming here to study. The lecturers and staff, even the security personnel were all gracious, kind, and nice assisting me when I needed help. Whether it was translation to English or school related policies. It was very easy for all to help me. I have had many great lecturers including Professor Nathan Liu, who was the lecturer who encouraged me to pursue my Business Administration here at MCU. The best educational advice ever. In addition, I get to socialize with the Staff at Christmas parties and play all the sport that I like and can play. MCU is a complete and comprehensive package for people like me who enjoy learning in a comfortable environment and respects all cultures.

I am very grateful for the Bachelor Program in International Affairs and Diplomacy, which allowed me to build solid professional knowledge in international affairs during my studies, while also enhancing my practical skills through diverse learning opportunities. The program offered a wide range of courses, including political science, international relations, international etiquette, regional studies, and political communication. These courses helped me better understand global issues and develop the ability to analyze international affairs from different perspectives. In addition to academic learning, the program places strong emphasis on industry–academia collaboration. I had the opportunity to participate in MOSAIC Taiwan, a program in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where I strengthened essential soft skills such as communication, cross-cultural engagement, and teamwork. Thanks to the combination of academic training and hands-on experience gained through the program, I was able to secure a position at a foreign Embassy in Taiwan after graduation. These experiences have also given me the confidence and foundation to continue pursuing higher levels of professional and career development in the field of international affairs.

Pursuing continued studies a decade later from my undergraduate was both challenging and inspiring. There were a handful of things that I needed to revisit to get me back on track, (from working to studying mode), but studying in Ming Chuan University inspired me to center my credentials to the areas of interest and expertise I needed to focus on. Key aspects of global standards in further studies from (professors, curriculum, as well as infrastructure) were accessible and definitely helpful. My track, the GSIA was conducted to completion in a well-structured and balanced program. Studying in Taiwan as a whole was definitely one of most well-spent and worthwhile 2-years of my life!
