Chosen from more than 1,300 applicants, Mayte&#8217;s achievement highlights her outstanding leadership in international affairs and climate action.<br \/>\nDuring the program, Mayte exchanged ideas with government officials and representatives from international organizations on youth-led climate initiatives. It began in 2011, when I received a Taiwanese Government scholarship to study in Taiwan and later at Ming Chuan University. That opportunity changed my life and ultimately led me to this meaningful moment with the United Nations. I will always be grateful to Taiwan and Ming Chuan University for believing in me and supporting my journey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mayte&#8217;s achievement reflects the impact of Taiwan&#8217;s international education and scholarship programs while demonstrating the IAD Program&#8217;s commitment to preparing globally minded professionals.
