The International Affairs and Diplomacy (IAD) Program, encompassing both undergraduate and graduate studies at Ming Chuan University, held its Annual Academic Conference on April 11, 2026, at the FFB101 International Conference Hall, Taoyuan Campus. The theme of this year\u2019s conference was \u201cA New Type of Non-aligned World: Reshaping Power Competition.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conference featured presentations by both graduate students and junior- and senior-level undergraduate students, who presented their research papers and capstone projects on topics such as international relations, global governance, and foreign policy. Through public presentations and expert commentary, students demonstrated strong academic training and analytical capabilities while also enhancing their public speaking and communication skills.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the event was the special invited talk by Nicole Durler-Montant, Chief Development and Communications Officer at Latino Economic Development Center. As a member of IAD\u2019s first graduating cohort, she shared her academic journey and professional experience, encouraging current students to make the most of the program\u2019s English-medium environment while developing global perspectives and cross-cultural competencies. She also reflected that \u201cevery little dot eventually connects,\u201d noting that while many experiences did not seem meaningful at the time, they later came together to shape her current path.<\/p>\n
