primarily designed to be taught in English. The students are mainly sourced from two categories: domestic students and international students. Initially, domestic students were admitted from within Ming Chuan University through internal transfers after passing an English proficiency test (before the 2017 academic year). From the 2018 academic year, the program started external admissions through the Star Plan, personal applications, and designated exams. International students are mainly recruited through external admissions.<\/p>\n<p>To align with Taiwan\u2019s continuous pursuit of internationalization and globalization, and to fulfill the vision of being a pioneer in \u201ccampus internationalization,\u201d this program follows the university\u2019s founding principle of \u201ccombining theory with practice.\u201d It aims to chart a new path among similar political and international affairs programs at other universities and become the first fully English-taught undergraduate program in International Affairs and Diplomacy in Taiwan. From its inception, the program has focused on two major teaching and research axes: \"International\/Global Governance\" and \"Diplomacy.\" This clear focus aims to differentiate the program and establish a unique professional image, aligning with future domestic and global market trends and demands.<\/p>\n<p>To meet the requirements of internationalization and globalization in both teaching and research, the program\u2019s curriculum is designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge in their specialized fields while also considering market demands and trends. The faculty is recruited based on their rich professional experience and strong academic research capabilities, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice. Moreover, to establish a solid foundation for the program's academic internationalization, teaching methodologies include theoretical analysis, empirical studies, current event analysis, case studies, and practical exercises. These methods enhance students\u2019 ability to accurately assess and address challenges in international relations, diplomacy, global governance, and globalization, thereby improving their professional expertise. The faculty specializes in global governance, international political economy, diplomacy, international trade, and management. Additionally, approximately half of the students enrolled in the program are international students, and the courses are taught entirely in English. This approach helps students synchronize their knowledge with global information while enhancing the global perspectives and international academic exchange capabilities of both faculty and students.<\/p>\n<p>In summary, although this program has a relatively short history, its mission and development goals are aimed at cultivating international professionals with expertise in diplomacy, global governance, and globalization. Therefore, the program not only focuses on training talent for national needs but also aspires to position itself on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p>Ming Chuan University\u2019s Master's Program in International Affairs is the first academic institution in Taiwan specializing in the field of international\/global governance and globalization. The institute is committed to building a platform for professional training that balances theory and practice in international\/global governance and international\/global operations.
